Bank Negotiations
An experienced voice at the table for your financing, loans and debt — from preparing the numbers to negotiating the terms, and restructuring what you already owe when the current arrangement no longer fits.
From the first figures to the signed terms
Banks decide on the strength of your numbers and how well they are presented. We prepare both — for new financing and for reworking debt you already carry — and we stay on your side of the table throughout.
Financial position review
An honest read of your accounts, cash flow and debt-service capacity — so you know exactly where the company stands before approaching any lender.
Application dossier
Financial statements, projections and supporting documents assembled in the form banks expect, with the figures explained rather than left to interpretation.
Restructuring proposal
A documented case for revised terms — extended maturities, grace periods, consolidation or repricing — prepared to the standard banks respond to.
Bank negotiations
An experienced voice on your side of the table, putting the case for better rates, terms and conditions directly to your lenders.
Offer comparison
Competing proposals set side by side on the terms that matter — total cost of credit, spread, fees, guarantees and early-repayment conditions.
Guarantees & covenants
A clear explanation of every personal guarantee, pledge and covenant you are asked to commit to — and what happens if circumstances change.
When the conversation with the bank matters
Businesses seeking financing
Looking for working capital, an investment loan or a credit line, and wanting the application to land well the first time.
Companies carrying debt
Servicing loans agreed years ago, or under pressure now, and needing the schedule reworked to match how the business actually earns.
Foreign owners and investors
Dealing with Portuguese banks for the first time, where language and local practice make the process harder than it should be.

Every debt position and financing need is different. Your final figure depends on the size and complexity of the debt, the number of lenders involved and the scope of work agreed. Schedule a meeting and we'll set out exactly what your situation needs — and what it will cost — before you commit to anything.
Good to know
Can you guarantee the bank will approve or agree?
No. The decision always rests with the lender and their own credit criteria. What we can do is make sure your case is accurate, complete and presented in the strongest form the numbers allow — which is what gives it the best chance of being accepted.
Do I need to already be in arrears to restructure?
No — and it's usually better if you aren't. Restructuring conversations tend to be far more productive when they start before any payment has been missed.
Do you deal with the bank directly, or do I?
Either. Some clients prefer us to handle the correspondence and meetings; others lead and have us present alongside them. The decisions remain yours in both cases.
Do I need to be an existing client?
No, though the work is usually more effective when we already keep your accounts, since the figures are to hand and consistent. If you come to us for this alone, we start by reviewing your financial records.
Is this the same as insolvency proceedings?
No. This is a private renegotiation of your banking terms. Formal insolvency and recovery is a separate legal process, and we'd refer you to a lawyer if that's the route your situation calls for.
Going to the bank? Don't go alone.
Schedule a free, no-obligation meeting. Tell us what you're financing, renegotiating or restructuring, and we'll tell you honestly where you stand and what's realistic.
